Keeping People Safe at Home
We offer a free home safety, fire safety and security assessment. If any work is necessary to minimise the risk of an accident, house fire or burglary this can be completed free of charge for eligible residents. This service is for people aged 65 or over and those with a disability who live in Hammersmith & Fulham.
We can provide a skilled carpenter to carry out jobs such as fitting door and window locks, putting up shelves, building flat packed furniture and hanging doors. The cost is £50 per hour (inclusive of VAT and parking) plus the cost of materials. There is a minimum charge of 1 hour. A discount is given to people receiving a means tested benefit. This service is run as a social enterprise so any surplus is re-invested into the charity and used to assist those in need in the local area. This service is available to all H&F residents.
All staff are DBS checked, fully qualified and all work undertaken is guaranteed.
