IAPT Hounslow offers talking therapies for people over 18 who have a GP in the London Borough of Hounslow. It helps people with common problems like stress, anxiety and depression. It could be you’re feeling low, having trouble sleeping, or feeling frightened. These are all things that the service can help with.
IAPT Hounslow offers Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) but also works in partnership with a counselling service. Sessions are structured and the course is brief, usually about 8 to 12 weeks.
Therapy can be accessed face-to-face, in groups or one-to-one, over the phone, or using video chat on your mobile device, smartphone or computer. Online therapy is also offered. You can self-refer to the service or be referred by your doctor or other health or social care professional.
